Karla Córdoba Brenes is a passionate advocate for sustainability, innovation, and the transformative power of new types of money and organizations. She is a co-founder of Cambiatus, an open-source platform that empowers the creation of complementary currencies and collaborative businesses. Cambiatus provides tools for governance, decision-making, and innovative economic incentives using blockchain technology, reflecting Karla's deep interest in exponential tech.

Karla's journey has taken her from her home country of Costa Rica to Brazil and beyond. She holds a master's degree in Community Development, and her commitment to creating a better world is evident in her work and her beliefs. She is an alumna of Singularity University and the Shuttleworth Foundation, prestigious institutions that have recognized her innovative approach to community development and technology.

In addition to her work with Cambiatus, Karla has been involved in various other initiatives. She was one of three people from Costa Rica selected to participate in the Global Solutions Program 2017 at Singularity University, based at the NASA Research Center in Silicon Valley. The program focused on using exponential technologies to address one of humanity's greatest challenges: climate change.

Karla is also a co-author of the book "Nuevo Dinero para la Sostenibilidad" (New Money for Sustainability), for which she was recognized by CNN as a Latina Triunfadora de la Semana (Latina Winner of the Week). This recognition underscores her significant contributions to the discourse on money and sustainability.

At Blockchain Jungle 2023, Karla will bring her unique perspective on the intersection of sustainability, blockchain technology, and community development. Her insights will undoubtedly inspire attendees and contribute to the rich dialogue at the conference.
